What Is Advent?
In the final days before Christmas, Advent invites us to center our hearts on love—the love that came into the world through Christ and the love that continues to transform lives.

The Theme of Week Four: Love
Love is the heart of Advent. It is patient, generous, and restorative. Love is not simply an emotion; it’s a way of being that reflects God’s character in every interaction.
Noticing God Through the Theme of Love
We notice God’s love when:
- We experience unexpected compassion
- Our hearts are stirred to care deeply for someone
- We sense forgiveness, belonging, or acceptance
- We feel invited into a deeper connection with others
- We are moved to acts of kindness or generosity
God’s love is the source from which every other Advent theme flows.

Bringing Love to Others
You reflect God’s love when you:
- Offer grace where it’s not expected
- Show up consistently for someone
- Extend forgiveness
- Meet others with patience and dignity
- Give generously—your time, your presence, your kindness
Love makes invisible things visible.

Watercolor Reflection: The Heart’s Shelter
Paint a wreath using gentle reds, peaches, and golds. Think about standing in the center of this warm circle.
Reflect on how God has held you this year, and how you can hold others with that same love.
