About

Your Story of Healing

Welcome to Waves of Expression — a space dedicated to helping you heal, grow, and reconnect with your creative self.

I believe that creativity is inherently spiritual. To access genuine creative expression, we must engage our whole selves — the spiritual, mental, and physical.

For many of us, the word spirituality can carry mixed emotions or past experiences. At its core, spirituality simply reflects our connection to the world around us and our sense of higher purpose.

For some, that may include religion. For me, it’s deeply connected to my Christian faith. Still, my goal is to offer language and practices that meet you wherever you are most comfortable.

Healing Through Creativity

You might wonder why your spiritual, mental, and physical well-being all play a role in creativity. The truth is, creative healing requires depth — not quick fixes.

This space is for those who long to create but feel blocked or disconnected from their art.

True creativity doesn’t always begin with picking up the paintbrush; sometimes it begins with putting it down. Rest and reflection allow creativity to heal and transform. Through that process, we rediscover what creativity truly means — and how it can once again become a source of life, peace, and joy.

Here, you’ll find reflections, exercises, and creative practices designed to help you begin that journey of healing from the inside out.

Creativity as a Spiritual Practice

When we recognize creativity as spiritual, we begin to see that art is an extension of our inner world — our thoughts, emotions, and values expressed outwardly.

If our inner world feels blocked, our creativity will reflect that. The activities and resources shared here are designed to help you restore balance in all areas — spiritual, mental, and physical — so that your art can once again feel embodied, authentic, and alive.

If you’re ready to begin your process of creative healing, you’re in the right place. Start with any blog post that resonates with you, and move at your own pace.

Give yourself permission to begin small — to wade into the puddle before diving into the ocean. Healing unfolds gently and naturally over time.

With gratitude,
Holly

About Your Creativity Coach

I’m so glad you’re here. This space allows me to connect everything I’ve learned — and continue to learn — about the intersection of art, healing, and faith. My hope is that it feels like a safe, inspiring space for you to explore your own creative path.

My name is Holly, and I’m the creator of Waves of Expression.

Over the past five years, this work has evolved through many seasons, each one leading me closer to my purpose: helping others reconnect to creativity through a holistic, healing approach.

My Background
  • Studio Arts
  • Art Education
  • Currently pursuing a Master’s in Counseling Ministries at Denver Seminary

This blend of art, counseling, and spirituality has shaped the heart of my approach — integrating creativity and healing as one shared practice.

After completing my degree, I plan to offer one-on-one client sessions. Until then, this site serves as a growing library of resources you can return to anytime you need encouragement, reflection, or creative renewal.
